Heitor Ricardo

Software Engineering.
Between code and the real world.

Student at UnB. I build backends, data solutions and embedded systems with Python, TypeScript, C++ and Rust.

I study Software Engineering at UnB, with graduation expected in March 2029, and Systems Analysis and Development at GRAN. My education connects software development, research and teamwork.

to software.

In Baja, code meets the physical world. Sensors, communication and technical decisions need to work together — on the bench and inside the car.

The next step for telemetry: retain what currently passes through the display and enable analysis after each test.

My contributionDevelopment of the team’s Kotlin and Spring Boot backend, including architecture, contracts and initial CAN frame ingestion.

Implemented: API foundation and initial ingestion. Next steps: decoding, time-series persistence and queries.

2024 — NOW

BAJA

Electronics Lead (Embedded Systems)

UnBaja — Equipe Baja SAE UnB · Brasília, DF

I built the embedded telemetry system for Baja SAE Nacional 2026. It has four ECU nodes, two Arduinos and one ESP32, communicating over a CAN bus, with data shown to the driver in real time on a TFT display.

  • I handled the whole chain: sensor reading, the protocol between nodes, data processing and the on-board interface.
  • I lead four members of the electronics subsystem, handling task distribution, technical planning and accountability to the university.

MCTI

Internship at MCTI — Junior Product Owner

Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação · Brasília, DF

Internship at MCTI as Junior Product Owner for NOVO SIGPLANI, the platform serving the PADIS programme. The role came from taking part in the product's weekly Scrum.

  • Business-rule refinement, bug reporting and prioritisation with the Product Owner.
  • On my own initiative, I single-handedly built ExtracaoRDA, a Python automation that reads RDA PDFs and generates Excel spreadsheets.

2026 — NOW

UnB

Undergraduate Researcher

Universidade de Brasília (UnB) · Brasília, DF

Research in vehicle dynamics. C++ multibody model validated against Project Chrono, with a sandbox in the Godot engine to study powertrain, torque and suspension. Deliverables include a scientific paper.

  • Modelling vehicle movement over irregular terrain, in C++ on the Godot engine.
  • Technical documentation published in Docusaurus and updated each weekly sprint.

IBM

IBM TechXchange 2026 Hackathon

IBM TechXchange 2026 · Pre-conference Dev Day Hackathon

In a team of five, I built Hindsight: a tool that reads an IBM Bob session export and shows where the agent configuration wastes context and money.

  • I ran the A/B experiment: same task, same commit and same prompt, changing only the agent configuration.
  • I also delivered the React skeleton with Vite, three waste detectors and the static CI deployment.

1st place · Independent IBM technical evaluation

Sleep 5 · Desafio com IBM Bob · Hackathon PMI-DF

Our Sleep 5 team placed first in IBM’s independent technical evaluation of the repositories submitted for Krill Tech’s agricultural credit-risk challenge.

  • The review was issued after the hackathon, using separate criteria: the pitch and Project Canvas were not considered.
  • Review highlight: strongest technical and scientific rigor, with automated tests, grounded scoring and transparency about limitations.
